Course Descriptions
Lymphatic Drainage Intro
Manual lymph drainage (MLD) is a highly sought-after massage therapy approach. This course covers the basic anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system, as well as indications and contraindications. MLD can help promote lymph flow throughout the body, reduce swelling, and encourage the relaxation response using gentle rhythmic techniques. The main areas that will incorporate the neck, axilla, deep abdomen, and inguinal regions.
Lymphatic Drainage Advanced
This advanced manual lymph drainage (MLD) course provides comprehensive instruction in techniques for addressing dysfunctions of the lymphatic system, including conditions involving the medial knee, deep abdomen, and superior neck. Participants will learn methods to optimize fluid movement within the body and around scar tissue by utilizing palpation and lymphatic/fascial mobilization strategies. The curriculum also includes instruction on MLD for the liver and lungs.
